With rain forecast it was nice to do the draw in the dry. There were 17 in attendance, all early, I wasn't last for a change.
Lee Andrews landed 1 straight after the whistle at 4lb. The sun then tried to break out and the lake calmed. Not ideal. 3 fish in the first hour was ok though with 5-10 leading the way Lee had the only fish of the 2nd hour at 10 lb and was comfortably ahead. By the halfway stage nothing had changed. With just over 90 mins remaining Terry White hit into something decent. At 25 lbs 2 oz, probably the biggest pike to have been landed in a few years.
Only 2 more were landed with Colin Bradley landing the last fish of the match and his second. Overall, disappointing with numbers caught, but eels were causing havoc with dropped runs and chewing baits. But, the weather stayed dry and everyone enjoyed it, especially Terry.
1st Terry White 25-2
2nd Lee Andrews 14-0
3rd Colin Bradley 9-6
Biggest fish not in top 3 places Nigel Barnes 5-15
Thanks to the 4 Marshalls Jimmy, Michael, Rob and Kieren for weighing duties and President, Gary Springett, for doing the prize giving.
Thanks to the committee for letting the match happen and hopefully same place and same weekend next year
