With 14 Lakes and miles and miles of river fishing, Chelmsford Angling Association offer quite simply some of the best fishing in Essex.
THis is for essential works while the water is low , we will be removing tree stumps and trees from the winter water line , this will reduce fish snagging during the winter and allow better access to some swims during the winter .

Fisheries management.
Normally the Pike fishing season starts on the 1st October, however due to the warm conditions and warm water the Committee have decided as a precaution to suspend the start for a minimum of 2 weeks so to give the weather a chance to cool down.
It’s not good for the pike being caught in warm weather and possible low oxygen in the water, so we would ask that members refrain from targeting pike till things cool a bit
